Baseball results vs. Ft. Wayne Canterbury
The Howe Wildcats lost to Ft. Wayne Canterbury 16-4.
The Wildcats held a 2-2 lead until the third inning
when Canterbury erupted for 9 runs. Leading the
wildcats was DJ VanOrden with 2 hits and a walk.
Also, getting hits for the Wildcats were Pat Fisher,
Blake Sopko and Tony Wicks. VanOrden also had 3
steals. The Wildcats play next against LaPorte
Lalumeire on Tuesday. The Wildcats are 4-9.

Last night the lower school golf team took 2nd
place in a three team tournament. Their team score
of 239 was their lowest score of the season. Cadet
Grant was the Medalist for the match, shooting a
round of 41. Cadet Bedke was 6th with a
round of 45. DAnniballe, Jones and Wenzel rounded
out the scoring with a 50, 51, and 52 respectively.

Lower School Track results vs. Fremont
Last night
the lower school track team took on
Fremont in a dual meet
between two pretty evenly matched teams. The lower
school lost 41-67, mostly due to the fact that we do
not compete in pole vault and so, got swept in that
event. The events that we did compete in, we were
very competitive in. Scoring for Howe yesterday

Lower School Track results vs. Fairfield/Central Noble
Last
Thursday the
Lower School track team took on Fairfield and
Central Noble in a huge double dual tournament. We
started at 4:45 and didnt finish until almost
8:00. It was cold, and we had a lot of down time,
but the team did a very solid job against much
bigger competition. Athletes scoring in this double
dual were:

Baseball team drops conference game against Lakewood
Park
The
Howe Wildcats dropped a conference game against Lakewood
Park 10-3 on Tuesday. DJ Van Orden went the distance on
the hill for the Wildcats striking out 5 and walking
one. The wildcats were plagued with 7 errors despite 6
hits from Zach Pagels, Jon Patterson, Pat Fisher, Mark
Miller, Mike Mori and VanOrden. The Wildcats play next at home
against Ft. Canterbury on Thursday. The Wildcats are now
3-7.

Varsity track results vs. Fremont
JJ Weidner took 2nd in the long
jump, 3rd in the 100M dash, 2nd
in the 4x100 relay, and 2nd in
the 4x400 relay.
Daniel Wilson took 3rd in the
long jump, 3rd in the 110M high
hurdles, 2nd in the 4x100 relay,
and 1st in the 300M hurdles with
a personal best time of 46 seconds.
Eddie
Englund took 2nd in the mile, and
2nd in the 800M run, and 2nd
in the 4x400 relay.

took 3rd in the mile.

Last
night the lower school track team took on the
elements, illness, and
Fairfield and Prairie
Heights in a double dual meet at Prairie Heights.
We were shorthanded, as Kyle Boyles, John Kincaid,
Mike Grady, and Jonathan Malone each missed some or
all of their events due to injury or illness. The
final score of the meets have not yet been tallied,
as Prairie Heights is still sorting them out and
will mail the results to us sometime, but we do know
a few of the team members who placed last night.

Thanks to those who came out to support the Lower
School Golf team during the MAC tournament last
Friday.
The team dropped the match to Cantebury (229) and
Lakewood Park (273) finishing in 3rd
place with a score of 281.
The loss brings the season record to 4-5. The team
returns to action next Monday, May 5, 2008.
