Mr. Kevin Bouma

Admissions Counselor

Kevin came to Howe Military School in January 2001 as a TAC (Teacher, Advisor, Counselor) Officer for Company L.  He has been the TAC for Company D for the past six  years and has worked at Howe Military School’s Summer Camp as a counselor, lifeguard and served as Summer Camp Commandant for the past four years.  In August of 2007, Kevin took a new position as Admissions Counselor.

Kevin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 27, 1964 and entered the US Army April 1985 serving through May 1991. Some of his assignments include three years at Fort Riley, Kansas and three years at Geibelstadt Army Airbase in Germany.  While on active duty, Kevin attended the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC) in August 1987.

After leaving the Army, Kevin earned a  BS degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University in June 1995 and worked as an auditor for a major CPA firm.

Among Kevin Bouma’s decorations are: the Army Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

Kevin is married to the former Jodi Engle of Colon, Michigan. They have 5 children, Aaron, Kristen, Amie, Sarah and Amanda, ranging from ages 15-23.
