College Visitation
Seniors are permitted three (3), and Juniors two (2) school days during the school year to visit a college campus they are interested in attending. No visitation days are permitted in September or May of the school year.
The cadet must first submit a leave request to the Headmaster indicating this is a college day leave to gain approval for the date of the visit.
The cadet will seek assistance from the Guidance Office in setting up the visit. The visit should include appointments with the admissions office, financial aid personnel, tour of the campus and an appointment with an advisor in the area of interest.
The Guidance Office confirms with the Headmaster, the arrangements made at least three (3) days in advance of the requested college day.
A written parental request or FAX message, for the visit is submitted to the Headmaster at least three (3) days prior to the desired visit. This allows for travel orders to be properly processed. The Commandant, Headmaster or Counselor sign these travel orders.
It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to arrange the necessary transportation. The college/university visited will, on official letterhead stationery, provide the Headmaster with written verification of the visit.
