Mr. Steven Clark graduated from Western Michigan University in 1974 with a Masters in Teaching of Arts. His undergraduate work was done at Western Michigan University and culminated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He graduated summa cum laude. He most recently received his certification to teach Chemistry from Western Michigan University. Mr. Clark taught one year at Western Michigan University as a graduate assistant and started teaching at Howe Military School in the fall of 1974. During his tenure at Howe, he has served in many capacities. He began as the director of the Pete Fall Industrials Arts facility and offered hobby shop activities on weekday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Presently, he is the head Speech coach and General Manager of WHWE, 89.7 FM. During the school day, you will find Mr. Clark teaching Photography, Woodworking, Small Engine Repair, Architectural and Mechanical Drafting, and Electricity/House Wiring. Mr. Clark operates C & C Restorations during the summer months doing museum displays and furniture restorations. Many of the Howe Mansion furniture restorations have been completed by C & C Restorations. Students have also worked with Mr. Clark over the years to help restore portions of St. James Chapel’s carvings and furniture. He is an active member of the Centreville United Methodist Church, where he is a Sunday school teacher, lay speaker and treasurer. In his spare time, he works on his 1952 MGTD and a collection of gas engines and tractors. He resides in Centreville, Michigan with his wife, Sharon and four cats.
