In February, Howe welcomed Kenneth Rowe as the Director of Maintenance.  Ken is a graduate of Ross Beatty High School.  He studied art in college and received numerous awards for his artwork.  He received an award of excellence from the art institute of Minnesota.  Ken was a licensed realtor in Michigan for eight years.  He also has earned certificates of completion for studies in small business management, importing-exporting, forklift repairs, and boilers.

Ken has been married for thirty-two years and has a daughter who is a second grade public school teacher and a daughter who is a senior at Western Michigan University.  She will have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social work.  Ken’s wife works for the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District, as well as selling real estate for Century 21.

Before accepting the position at Howe, for almost eleven years Ken worked as facility maintenance director for HCR Manor Care, the nation’s largest provider of long term health care and rehab.  Before moving back from Florida in 1994, he worked as director of maintenance for Guy Trade International, the world’s largest supplier of bauxite ore for creating aluminum, and maintenance supervisor for Costco Wholesale Club.

Ken lives in Three Rivers, MI at Noah Lake and enjoys swimming and boating. He also enjoys restoring 60’s muscle cars.  He currently has a 1968 Mercury Cyclone GT that he restored several years ago.
