Ms. Jessica Montgomery joined the Howe family in December of 1996.  She first served as the science master in the lower school, grades 6-8.  The following year she became the fifth grade master and taught in that self-contained classroom for six years.  She has also been an instructor at the Howe Summer Camp since 1998 and served as the assistant academic program director.  Beginning the 2003-2004 school year Ms. Montgomery will be the principal of the lower school.

During her time at Howe Military School Ms. Montgomery has been active in many athletic teams.  She coached high school volleyball and 8th grade basketball from 1997-2000.  For the past three years she has coached both the 7th and 8th grade basketball teams.  Ms. Montgomery is the advisor of the lower school Varsity Howe Club.  She is a member of Howe Military School's Old Guard.  During the 2003 commencement, she was awarded as an Honorary Member of the Varsity Club. 

Ms. Montgomery graduated from Tri-State University, where she played for the women’s basketball team for four years.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  Along with her teaching license, she also has a Middle School Science Endorsement.  Ms. Montgomery is currently pursuing her master’s degree in administration.
