Mrs. Givens was hired on as the new physical education and health teacher for both the upper and lower schools. Mrs. Givens is also the head volleyball coach this fall. Mrs. Givens was born in LaGrange and attended Lakeland High School. After graduating from Lakeland, Mrs. Givens attended Tri-State University where she ran both cross-country and track. Mrs. Givens has most recently been working at Multi-Plex in Howe and coaching at Lakeland. Mrs. Givens likes to listen to alternative rock music and loves to read anything by James Patterson. She spends her free time weightlifting, fishing, hunting, practicing archery, boxing, playing the piano, and shopping. She is a big Notre Dame football fan and also loves the Detroit Lions, even though she says she's disappointed every season. Mrs. Givens says that her mother is her biggest role model, and her favorite quote is, "Tough times don't last, but tough people do." You can reach Mrs. Givens at:
