Mrs. Johanna Arklie started at Howe Military as the 5th Grade Master in 1988, then took over the position of Lower School Social Studies Master in 1990.  She has received a Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University and is working on her Master's Degree.  Johanna currently serves as the 6th grade advisor, assists in numerous sports on campus and has served as the Lower School yearbook advisor, since 1996.  She has also served as the Lower School representative to the Indiana Association of Independent Schools (IAIS), since 1990.  In 2006, Johanna was named Honorary Alumnus of the year.

She has been married to Brenn Arklie, Business Manager at Howe School, for over 32 years.
