Jeff Anders joined the Howe family as the chemistry master since 1997. He graduated from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan in December, 1996 with a B.S. in biology, and a minor in chemistry. He also received his teaching certification from Grand Valley. After graduation, he served as a substitute teacher in the Grand Rapids Public School system, doing most of his substitute work at Grand Rapids Central High School. Jeff worked for the Grand Rapids Public School system from January 1997 to June 1997.

Since arriving at Howe, Jeff has served in many capacities. Aside from being the full–time chemistry master, he has also served as assistant junior high track coach, assistant junior high wrestling coach, and assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach. Jeff is currently the head coach of the junior high track team, a teacher representative with ISACS (Independent Schools Association of the Central States), and is a member of the National Honor Society committee.

Jeff received his master of arts in educational administration from Ball State University in May, 2007.

Jeff is married to the former LeAnn Hayward of Lagrange, Indiana.  They have one daughter, and have two Boston terriers and several pygmy goats that keep them very busy.
