Angela Floyd earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in social studies education from Purdue University in May of 1999. She is certified to teach US history, government, sociology, and psychology. She is currently taking classes to add economics to her teaching license. She also has a coaching endorsement for grades K-12. While attending Purdue University she was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi National Honor Society in Education. After graduating from Purdue University, Angela Floyd spent one year (1999-2000) substitute teaching at Hamilton Heights School Corporation, Elwood School Corporation, Tipton School Corporation, and Noblesville School Corporation. She taught seventh grade geography at Southwestern Jr. /Sr. High School in Hanover, IN for one year (2000-2001). She also coached seventh grade girls’ basketball at Southwestern. Angela started teaching at Howe Military School in August of 2001. She is currently teaching US history, economics, sociology, psychology, and yearbook in the upper school. She is also the head of the social studies department. She coached girls’ varsity basketball for several years. She has also coached lower school cross-country since August of 2002. She was the assistant track coach for the lower and upper school for the 2003-2004 season. She has been a timer for track and field as well.
