John Badlam Howe Society

Named in honor of Mr. Howe's original bequest, this society recognizes those who have designated Howe Military School as a beneficiary of their will, trust, or life insurance policy.  The school recognizes those visionaries who value the education of future generations and honor the ideals of Howe by making deferred gifts.

Traditions

Howe Military School, and those fortunate enough to receive the education provided by this school, shall be forever indebted to those who generously remember us in this manner.  It should be forever remembered that schools like Howe only exist because so many people have believed in its mission of preparing young men and young women for higher education, while also preparing them for success in any endeavor.

The strength of Howe Military School rests on three pillars that focus on the spiritual, the intellectual, and the physical education of its students.  The "whole person" approach to education is what these members of the John B. Howe Society share with the namesake of our school.

On May 5th, 2007 J. King McMurry '77 (left) and Travis Pearse '66 (right) were inducted into the John B. Howe Society.

A special plaque bearing the names of all John B. Howe inductees hangs in the McMullen Conference Room in the Administration Building.
