Howe
seeks students of good moral character who have the ability to do college
preparatory work.
* The Howe Admissions Committee
consisting of the school's superintendent, headmaster/principal, commandant, and
admissions director evaluates and accepts students
grades 5 through 12 on the basis of:
- The
results of our entrance exam

The
applicant’s most recent academic records and scores on the last
standardized test taken.
Records must confirm that the applicant needs no special
accommodations
- An
on-campus interview (if applicable)
- References
from 2 current teachers and 1 school administrator
- The
applicant’s conduct record
- A
stated and demonstrated willingness to be a successful member of the Corps
of Cadets
*Disclaimer:
Howe Military School is a traditional, college preparatory, secondary boarding
school.
Though classes are small, our school is not staffed or equipped to help
students who need any kind of learning accommodations.
This includes needs such as resource room, special tutoring, extra
test-taking time, or staff to accompany students.
Howe cannot accept students with learning disabilities or severe
emotional diagnoses.
The programs, staff, or therapeutic counselors necessary to assist
students with special needs are not available at Howe.
